If anything Peter has more than earned his name back with Fable 2. His talent was never the issue, it was always about delivering. Microsoft's got him focused. Can't wait to see what the titles are/is.
For those that went to work everyday for Sony. No matter what anyone here says about the gaming division. It's earnings and loses contribute to the Sony conglomerate bottom line. You just don't cast off 16,000 jobs if you are in good shape.
As for how this impacts gaming. I say this all the time. The signs have been there for quite a while. It's just that PS3 Stans just don't like the truth or to pay attention to facts. Sony did not prepare themselves for this new generation we ...
Too early to call. At the same time I don't see how the PS3 when it does get a price cut, and more exclusives from Sony come out that it will stop the Wii and Xbox 360 from selling. All three systems will by 2010 have a good amount of miles on them, along with software that is out that people will be buying. As a game machine Xbox 360 is going to continue to sell software. Think about it like this. 2010 may see Gears 3, and using it as one example people are going to get the game. By that tim...
Is a really bad example. The perception of Nintendo last generation was not that good. Microsoft was new to the game, and actually brought innovation with the Xbox. Live, HDD, etc.
Besides if you were paying attention you could see this coming. Sony with the PS2 had a chance to dig into online gaming and experiment with where it could go. They could have also come to terms with HD/Blu-Ray. Which would have allowed the formats to be under one name, and would have been in the new ...
This article is just Deja Vu from last year. So you can't take it seriously...seriously. Personally I just want to see screen shots of Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2. That'll make 2009 a year to look forward to...
So if Killzone 2 like Halo 3 gets good reviews will everyone agree they are both overrated? I ask because there are many here who have downplayed the success of Halo 3, but seem to be giving Killzone2 alot of credit for being average. I've watched the videos, and the game looks really good, but I don't see what it is doing new for the genre. Especially after playing games such as COD4 and to a large extent 5. So I'm curious what the fans will say.
This generation is going to last longer than many people think...Nintendo, and the PS2 has shown that you can have a legacy system around for a lot longer in a generation. I expect to see next gen systems perhaps 2012 or 2013...
You are a damn liar...The controller besides the digi pad is pretty sturdy and a quality piece of hardware. I agree that they should at least release a better version for arcade, and fighters...
I may not agree with everything you write, and yes you do prefer your PS3. It's all good, you are trying to bring real news, while improving your show. Don't let the PS3 stans hate on you too much. One day they love you, next day...Well not so much.
Down to design, you can't just make it an old 2d game or some 3d game like another. They have yet to find a good design formula for a new generation of Sonic games. There are so many exmaples and ways to do it, that I've given up on Sonic games. It'll happen one day, a designer is going to get an aha moment.
Wow...This is what I mean by people setting the wrong precedent with games. What happens when Killzone 2 does not have much of what COD4 or 5 have. Will we just praise it's graphics and say it offers no evolution? Very dangerous that a game like COD5 is not being judged on it's own merits. The game is better than COD4 even with the same engine they amount of improvements are really great both online and offline.
I make sure that when I spend my money I give a game it's own merit...
And age you have to take both sides into account. Many players enjoy playing online as much as offline. Look at WoW, it is popular for a reason and it's on a PC. So this argument is really lame. Doing online right means you expect and want players to extend their experience beyond playing offline. I see that as a great thing. I as a consumer who's played for years enjoys and expects both to be stellar.
The argument is made worse by picking games that both have good offline and o...
It's like saying Coca Cola, Pepsi, Miller, and other beverage companies shouldn't advertise at the SuperBowl. Everyone knows already...lol. Amazing the logic you read. Microsoft is simply letting you know what they believe in, and what title should be on your radar. They are doing their job...That's marketing. Then you get this Sony propaganda of what they do and don't do. Which is not true...Then to use causal gaming which really is Nintendo's niche, titles like Banjo are far and few between...
Is that PS3 stans have put themselves in a bad corner when it comes to reviews, or other peoples perspectives. Let me explain.
When you have titles such as Gears, Fable 2, Halo 3, get really damn good reviews and sell well you set a mark. Yet PS3 stans have tried to consistently down play all the merits of these titles. I'm not saying every PS3 owner. How many times have we heard "overrated" for Halo 3 or how the people and reviewers are sheep cause its not that great? ...
